Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains how CARBE (“CARBE”, “we”, “us”) uses the personal information you give us through this website. We are the data controller for this information.
What we collect
When you send a booking or quote request, we collect:
- Your name, phone number and (if you provide it) email address
- Your vehicle registration and any vehicle details you add (make, model, year, mileage)
- The service you're interested in, your preferred dates and times, and any notes or description of the issue
If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, we'll receive the information you choose to share in that conversation.
How we use it
- To review your booking request and contact you to confirm, change or discuss it
- To prepare quotations and carry out the work you ask for
- To keep a record of requests we've received
Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running our business. We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run this website and store booking requests securely (for example, our website hosting, database and email providers). They process data on our behalf and only as we instruct. Some providers may store data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.
If you use the “Find vehicle” option on our booking form, your registration number (and nothing else about you) is sent to a vehicle data service, Reg Check (regcheck.org.uk, based in Ireland), to look up your vehicle's make, model and year.
How long we keep it
We keep booking requests for up to 24 months, unless we need to keep them longer for legal, accounting or warranty reasons relating to work we carry out.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. To make a request, email carbeltd@gmail.com or call 07915 810995.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
